Talk Portal is run by Digital Cartel in South Africa. This page says what we keep about you, why, and how to have it removed. Updated 23 September 2026.

What we keep

• Your login: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and a password stored only as a one-way hash.
• The business details, text, photos and files you give us to build and change your website.
• What you ask for in the Studio, spoken or typed, and the changes made to your site.
• A log of sign-ins and account changes, kept for security.

Sign in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your name, your email address and a Google account number, and nothing else. We use them only to sign you in to your own account. We do not see your Google password. We ask for no access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data, and we keep no Google access tokens. You can unlink Google at any time on My Account.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we do with it

We use it to run your account and your website, to bill you, and to answer you. Spoken requests are turned into text so the change can be made. Some of this work is done by service providers acting for us: hosting, speech-to-text and AI models. They may use it only to do that work. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete what we keep about you. Email shaun@digitalcartel.online and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator.
