What we keep
- Your login: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and a password stored only as a one-way hash.
- The business details, text, photos and files you give us to build and change your website.
- What you ask for in the Studio, spoken or typed, and the changes made to your site.
- A log of sign-ins and account changes, kept for security.
Partner applications
When you apply to become a partner on this site, we keep what you type in the form (your name, business, email, phone, website, town, how many clients you look after and your message), the page you sent it from and the time. We use it only to consider your application and to reply to you. To stop repeat spam we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address, never the address itself. If we do not work together, you can ask us to delete your application at any time.
Sign in with Google
If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your name, your email address and a Google account number, and nothing else. We use them only to sign you in to your own account. We do not see your Google password. Signing in asks for no access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data, and keeps no Google access tokens. You can unlink Google at any time on My Account.
Connect Google (clients)
A client can choose to connect their own Google account from their portal, so their website can use their own Google Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile. Google then asks them to allow Talk Portal to manage Google Analytics, Search Console, site verification and Business Profile for them. We use that access only to do what they ask on that page: make or pick an Analytics property and add it to their site, prove the site is theirs and send Google its sitemap, show their visitor and search numbers in their portal, and link their Business Profile so its reviews can show on their site. Everything it sets up stays in their own Google account. We keep the access token Google gives us, encrypted, and nothing else from their Google account. We never sell it, use it for advertising or let a person read it. They can disconnect at any time from their portal, which gives the access back to Google straight away, or remove it in their Google account settings.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we do with it
We use it to run your account and your website, to bill you, and to answer you. Spoken requests are turned into text so the change can be made. Some of this work is done by service providers acting for us: hosting, email delivery, speech-to-text and AI models. They may use it only to do that work. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google Analytics on this site
This site, talkportal.online, uses Google Analytics 4 only if you choose Accept on the cookie bar. Until then no Google script loads and no analytics cookie is set. If you choose Decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, nothing loads at all.
If you accept, Google Analytics counts the pages you view, how you found us, your rough location (country and city, worked out from your internet address), your kind of device and browser, and when you click Become a Partner or send the application, never what you type in it. It sets two first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_LMP3Z4RYDQ) to tell a return visit from a new one. Google Analytics 4 does not log or keep your internet address. We run no ads, and Google signals and every advertising feature are switched off.
Google runs Google Analytics for us and may process the data outside South Africa under its data processing terms. We keep it for 14 months, then it is deleted. Apart from this, the site keeps your light or dark choice and your cookie choice in your own browser, and sets no other cookies.
You can change your mind at any time: choose Cookie Settings at the foot of any page (or ). Declining later switches Google Analytics off and deletes its cookies.
